Gregory Blaxland

Description
Gregory Blaxland (1778-1853) migrated from England to Sydney in 1806 with his brother John, on the advice of Sir Joseph Banks, a family friend. After establishing a farm in the colony, he joined with William Lawson and William Wentworth to successfully cross the Blue Mountains, intent on securing additional lands to the west. He then settled at Brush Farm, near Eastwood, New South Wales.
