Flinders and Baudin

Description
Matthew Flinders, in command of the Investigator, met his French counterpart Nicholas Baudin, in command of two ships, Le Geographe and Le Naturaliste, while sailing east along the Australian continent's southern coast in 1802. Flinders named the site 'Encounter Bay' to mark the improbable meeting of the two expeditions. Flinders went on to circumnavigate the continent, while Baudin's party spent two years exploring the Australian coast, collecting and illustrating scientific specimens.
