Cooper Creek

Description
The course of Cooper Creek extends more than 800kms from the Thompson and Barcoo Rivers, near Windorah, Queensland, to Lake Eyre, in South Australia. The Creek flows intermittently depending on rains, sometimes emptying into Lake Eyre. A site on its banks, near the border of South Australia and Queensland, is famous as the base camp of the ill-fated Burke and Wills expedition.
