A green, long sleeved rugby league jersey with with gold coloured 'V' on chest, originating from behind the shoulder and meeting at the centre of the chest. The jersey features a white collar with two white buttons and an embroidered Australian coat of arms with the text "RUGBY LEAGUE / 1949" on the proper left breast. A small repaired tear is underneath the coat of arms and a large stain is located below the gold 'V'.

Collection statement of significance
The Jack Holland collection consists of a long sleaved rugby league jersey worn by Jack Holland during the Australian Kangaroos tour of England, France and New Zealand in 1948-1949. The jersey is green with a gold V emblazoned on the front chest area, a white collar, and an Australian coat of arms on the wearer's left breast.

Jack 'Dutchy' Holland was a rugby league player for St George Rugby League Football Club, and was selected for the Australian representative Kangaroo tour of England in 1948-1949. A national rugby league side has represented Australia in international test matches ever since the establishment of New South Wales Rugby League and Queensland Rugby League governing bodies in 1908. Known as the Kangaroos, the team has represented Australia in over 283 international rugby leage series matches.
