Blaxland

Description
Blaxland is on the western edge of the Blue Mountains, 67kms from Sydney on the Great Western Highway. The town took its name from Gregory Blaxland, who successfully crossed the Blue Mountains with William Lawson and William Wentworth, in 1813. The area was the site of one of the first land grants in the Mountains, to Barnett Levey, in 1825.
