Winning style

These jockey’s silks are in the colours of Tony Santic, owner of Makybe Diva, the only horse to win three Melbourne Cups. Santic was born in Croatia and has combined the Croatian and Australian flags to create his racing colours. Silks in the Santic colours were worn by jockey Glen Boss during Makybe Diva’s Melbourne Cup wins of 2003, 2004 and 2005. Like most modern racing silks, they are made of polyester.
